Needless to say I'm very frustrated. I usually have a cardinal rule. I never pre-order because if a delay (like this) happens you're stuck with your pre-order and have to wait a few days while everybody else can go and buy the game from another store the day it is out. Well, lured by the extra goodies (and to support the developers) I decided to pre-order from a Gamestop retail store. Big mistake!
Yesterday, I was told they didn't have the game and they would most likely would know when they have it by Friday. Today, I went to Best Buy. I called Gamestop from Best Buy while I was holding a (non-collector edition) box of GC2 in my hands and they told me they still don't have it. I said to heck with it and didn't bother driving to Gamestop just to cancel my pre-order (They wouldn't cancel it over the phone). So, 23rd and I still don't have the game. Moral of the story: The cardinal rule still holds. Never pre-order if you want to get your game as soon as it is released.
Sorry, I'm not usually negative like this and I'm not blaming the developers but I'm just really frustrated by the fact that you're almost being punished by pre-ordering. Everyone who didn't pre-order can play the game but you can't yet. This is the last time I'm pre-ordering any game.
