Greetings from Pittsburgh.
I have been a longtime user of Stardock products.
I've been using Fences 2.0 since 2012.
I originally purchased Stardock Fences 3.0 in March 2019, just to upgrade.
At that time I found Fences 3.0 to be incredibly unstable, causing Explorer crashes and screen redraws constantly.
I asked for and received a refund.
Having just recently built a new PC, I decided to try again, thinking perhaps that the old machine may have video memory issues.
So I purchased Fences 3.0 again yesterday, 02/21/2020.
Now I find that this app is causing problems on my new machine too.
For reference, I'm running Windows 10 64-bit with dual monitors.
This morning I went to save a photo from a webpage to my Desktop.
The file saved OK, but I noticed that the icon didn't appear on my Desktop.
Hitting 'Refresh' caused a long lag, but I still didn't see the icon.
I tried this several more times, and each time the icons did not appear.
Eventually, I went into "Configure Fences" and unselected "Enable Fences".
Once Fences was disabled, saving photos to my desktop functioned normally.
So, clearly Fences 3.0 is to blame.
I find this 'anomaly' to be unacceptable.
I'm open to suggestions, but a quick Google search tells me that this is a common problem with this 3.0 release, and it has been for quite some time.
So unless you can point me to a 'fix' for it, I am hereby requesting a refund - again.
