Why do you need to use your mouse on your hp or mana bar to see how much you have? THats retard and wastes your time.
This would be one thing that should have made it into the vanilla version. This being said, it's more of a feature pro players would benefit of. Those players who see at a glance how much hitpoints they are having, checking enemies hitpoints and knowing that the other player will have to sigil first and die when not retreating even if theirs no hitpoints difference. One important thing about a function like that is that it does not need any screenplace and therefore is not distracting. Demigod clearly follows an "less is more" approach regarding the interface while other Mobas have a more cluttered interface showing information that is not necessarily needed but taking screen space. The basic interface still is very similar to the interface of RTSs Dota is based on and people got used to it. I personally think that you do not need that much screen space for vital information in a MOBA compared to RTSs (sctructures and units to build, commands for different units, status of different buildings/units etc.).
The Demigod interface does show the most vital information except for maybe my own specific hp (and I dont like the HP bars above heads at all; if you look at LoL for example you get only a number of bars. Why they not showing exact HPs?).
Why you can't see team mates gold and and mana? WH? Theres no explanation for that.
Please tell me why this information is a vital information that should take extra screen space? There is no reason why you have to see this info other than a game desing (not interface) option. Not having this information about your team mates actually requires communication between the team (I never assume everyone got the mod so I type in things like "oom" or "5k" if we're close to giants). With this information you need less communication. In my opinion this is more about game design with having a light weight interface in mind (always asking: is this extra information vital? will the game be less fun without this information? What are the gameplay differences? Do these differences impact fun?
The interface is shit sadly.
I'd really like to hear why? Is there vital information you dont get at a glance? Is it hard to distinguish between items (well have to admit that artifact shop and item shop look to similar). If you want to look at non vital information do you have to take unnessecary steps got get to it (e.g. 2 clicks instead of 1). Are menus hard to grasp, not readable or hard to understand, giving not enough/too much information? Is the information sorted usefully (e.g. do you understand quickly how items are sorted in the shop? I for one really dont like the shop and item interface of LoL). I do not think that Demigods interface really lacks in these areas, I rather think that it does a really good job in showing players vital information, giving them quick access to not vital information while leaving lots of screen space for the actual game instead of its statistics.
