Frankly, I don't see a problem with the ankles, either.
I do however very much agree with vStyler about a point he made. This is an art site. Everyone has his/her feelings and impressions about an image you chose freely to exhibit and by doing so seek input. All too often people lack the courage to say what they truly feel out of not wanting to cause a row.... WebGizmos and I talk about this frequently and are in absolute agreement, as I am with respect to this point, with vStyler.
It's only natural to feel defensive when the criticism you sought (I hope) by posting the image is received. If you don't want critique, it's up to you to say so. Usually, something like "Constructive criticism is sought" will encourage the timid to say something.
None of the criticism was nasty nor was it demeaning in any way. It was informative, and honestly? It didn't require a response beyond "Thanks for your input, we'll take a look at that." Doesn't mean "You're right" nor "My art isn't any good."
Not all input will be professional nor necessarily valuable in your sight, but it was freely sought (implicitly, by posting) and freely given. You might not like it, but that's usually the stuff you should be paying attention to if it's constructive... not the "super" nor the "great" if those are the only reactions without any further explanation.
Too often friends won't be helpful if they only praise. Real friends will tell you where they see a problem. That doesn't mean they're not friends. It means they're good friends.
Again, overall I think this is very good art. I hope you understood what I took the time to say. None of it is ill spirited nor meant in a bad way.
Now get busy! Kick some butt!
