Espionage problem (0.21[b].003)

I was playing along, happily enjoying the fact that space battles work again when my espionage efforts suddenly paid off... and how!

Out of nowhere, I received a technology that I am quite sure no one had. Supposedly it came from the Drengin, but I really doubt it. See, I was ahead in weapons research by all ways I could measure things. Then, I was handed Neutrino guns. Yes, that's right, the second to last tech in the projectile listing. This was while I still had mini-balls 2 as my primary offensive tool... To suddenly be handed a 70 damage weapon....OUCH! Game over.

I am thinking that the espionage must have, instead of picking a random tech from the Drengin, picked a completely random tech from the entire tree. That's kinda bad.

Might wanna look into this one.

Hmmm, it's using the same code as GC1 to steal a tech. If you e-mail me a save game file, I can check it out to see if the Drengin really did research it. Maybe they managed to research it out of order, or mabye someone who did have it traded it to them. The AI can trade techs among themselves, we just don't have the interface complete for you to trade with the AI yet.

Yep, they did research it. They're the only ones who have it, and it appears that they're using old code to pick the next tech to research, so that will have to be updated.
