Over the pandemic, I purchased a new laptop which has exclusively been hooked up to a docking station and extra monitors. However, I'll be starting to go back to the offices more in the future and want to use this laptop as my primary device instead of using a desktop at work and laptop in meetings.
What I want is a way to set up 3 profiles on my laptop where I have all the programs I have open assigned to different monitors depending on where I am set up. At work, I have 4 monitors. At home, I have 2. When mobile, I obviously have the one. Ideally, one of these Stardock products would allow me to have these different profiles and would automatically jump between them based on it detecting what state I'm in (1, 2, or 4 monitors). It would be fine if I had to select the profile I want to use but have all the open windows jump back to where I like them with a click. So imagine working at home in the morning with 10 things open on 2 monitors. Then undocking and driving in and going to a meeting where I have the same 10 things open but now on just the laptop screen. Then, I go back to my office and plug in there and again, the same 10 things are open but they automatically move to the monitor I want them to be on. I don't have to constantly drag them around or use keyboard short cuts to move them one at a time (especially when I might have 20 emails open - my system for keeping track what I need to do is to keep open email that I have yet to take action on).
So what software does Stardock offer that toes that? It seems like Tiles is the most likely option but there is every reason to think not too.
