At release, GalCiv 3 requires 64-bit Windows 7 or 8+. I have 64-bit Windows Vista, and updating is not a possibility at this time. The rest of my system resources handily meet the requirements: Intel Core2 Quad CPU @2.33GHz, 8GB of RAM, and an ATI Radeon HD 4800 series with 1GB of VRAM.

Is the game likely to install and run, possibly with minimal settings or some issues on the system, or is the installer built in such a way that it will prevent installation  on an older system, or using functions which absolutely will not work under Vista?

I'm aware that official support may not be able to say anything which explicitly disregards the posted requirements, I'm just looking for information as to whether this is possible. I'm a big fan of the GalCiv games to date and would love the chance to play this, but it will likely be at least a year until I have a newer system.
