A few modding questions

I have a few question I hope people can answer them.

How would someone like me with no texturing experience get started in texturing so I can make textures for weapons and armor?
It is possible to make an armor piece replace the characters mesh (say turning a human to a golem and back again when item is unequipped)?
Can I have it so that some items cannot be equipped unless another item has already been equipped?
