Casting strategic spells with multiple casters creates too much map chaos. I suggest that the map does not move to the caster. 99% of the time, I already got the intended target on the screen.
Let’s say that I want to cast “Pillar of Fire”, the following is the steps that happen.
- I first find the target that I want to hit in the screen. 99% of the time I decide to make a spell selection when I am centered above the intended target.
- I go to spell options and cast the intended spell.
- If there is only one possible caster, I go straight to select target and everything works smoothly.
- If there is multiple potential casters, a pop up shows up to select a caster. Now here is where the problem is. When I select a caster, the map then decides to center on the caster. I would then need to refine my intended target on the map. I have to be careful that I don’t accidently click my mouse on a legal alternate target and end up casting the spell on the wrong target.
If I can avoid the map recenter, the process will run more smoothy.
