Actually that comment raises a good point. A separate part of the tourney for people with < say 200 games (smurfs excluded) would be of benefit to raise interest in the game. I know numbers are limited and this idea may have logistical problems but it seems pointless to have new ppl entering a tourney vs experienced players and seeing their citadel flattened in 20 minutes. I don't think that would endear new ppl to the game. Even if say 8 (2 player) teams comprising new players could be formed I think it would make these ppl feel more welcome in dg's (small) community and they would hopefully then be good to play in the normal tourney round (if there was a) next time.
After writing this I realised that the idea of a tiered tourney has probably previously been raised and dismissed.
You bring up a very good point here, doggu. I think I've discussed this possibility briefly with Darkliath (she enjoys coaching newer players). Anyway, as far as noob experts go, we have bartek1234, Darkliath and brasher_01. I can talk to them to help us contact the newer players (there is a relative bunch of them recently -- not talking about smurfs). I think a 'noob tier' is a sound idea that can be very beneficial for the DG community as a whole for the exact reasons doggu specified.
PS: Also, how is it doggu is such a constructive-thinking and considerate guy on the forums, while all I hear from him in-game is: "QoT, shield me already, ffs!!!/Sedna, where's your heal, ffs!!!"
Nah, just kidding. I like playing with him, actually
