Hey,
Just wondering, I have been playing (P), and never seem to have any type of mine near my starting position. I have launched probably 40 games to see if there is variability. Always start with 1 shard, 1 food close by. I have seen bees (very rare), a second shard or a second food (rarish), an ancient forest, but have yet to see either a gold mine or a metal mine. Is this by design or are they testing balance without these?
