Play by e-mail?

I'm really liking the look of this game, will it be possible to play up to 16 players in a long-term play-by-e-mail game (like VGA Planets of old)?  If so will bit also be possible to include AIs?

If so I think I might be able to persuade my old gaming buddies to all get this together!

I don't think Play-by-email will be initially supported. It may be supported later on...

I would love a PBEM option as I never have time to sit down for a multiplayer session.  PBEM Elemental woulde be awesome (yes, to the max!).

Sadly I have always had bad experiences with play by email with Civilization being some of the worst. I guess it tends to be the people I play with and the person who organizes it.

I have very good experiences with playing AoW1 and AoWSM in PBEM, I hope this mode will be included in Elemental someday.

That sounds hopeful, I'll be getting it for myself then.  PBEM is about the only option for my friends that would be in to this kind of game as we never ever all have free time at the same time, so Im hoping it gets included soon.
