Quick question about installing sins maps. I've downloaded several maps. I put them in the galaxy forge folder, but some show up ingame, but most don't. Anyone have any advice or suggestions?
What folder is that galaxy forge folder in? You need to put it in the galaxy forge folder that is in the app data folder (where your mod folders are) for the most modern versions of sins. Also the maps themselves maybe out of date especially if you downloaded them on wincustomize or something instead of on recent forum posts.
yeah I put it in the one under app data. I have three maps that work but most of the ones I want most won't work.
It's possible that some of those maps are not compatible with the latest versions of Sins. See if you can find Harpo99999's map updater program which will automatically fix them for you. (If you open the map files up in Wordpad (they're just text files) you'll see something called a "Version number" at the top. I think they need to be Version = 3 to work. You might be able to just change the number and save the file to fix them.)
can someone provide a link to harpo's most recent version of the updator, the one linked on this website doesn't work with my version of sins.
apparently I need version 1.1.9.0 not 1.1.9.1 which is the one I got
I hate to be "that guy" but it would really be great if someone could help me out with this issue. Just need to know if theres a place I can download a map updater that is compatible with my version of sins
