Problems with Loading Screen.

Well, I just bought Demigod, and I installed it, updated it, etc, but when I try to play any game (SP skirmish or whatever), it freezes in the loading screen, means it keeps loading, but it is always in the loading screen.

 

I have an Intel Core 2 Duo with 2x 2,20 Ghz, 2 Gig of Ram with Twin Ram Bars, 160 gigabyte harddrive, a Geforce 9600 GSO...


I have already reduced the details to low, installed a new graphic card driver and so on.... I have absolutely no idea what the problem is....

He he...9600 GSO....

Oops, sorry for that, its a nice card....

Anyway, on to your problem:

Do you see in the loading screen, under the insignia saying: "No Text"   ?? (Without the ".)

If you do, then go to "My Documents\My Games\Gas Powered Games\Demigod" and delete a file named "Game.prefs".

If that doesnt work, then Uninstall Demigod, and then delete manually everything that was left from the installation (Including the whole Demigod folder inside My Documents).

On a second thought do that anyway, even if you dont see the "No Text".

I tried that no text stuff, with the .prefs, but I will try with the complete deleting, thanks, I will tell if it works.

By the way, whats wrong about the 9600 GSO? it is at the level of a 9800... even faster than most of the 9800, so I have no idea what you mean .

Umm, I dont know who told you that, but every 9600 is a lot slower than 9800's.

Ok, youre right, checked it wrong last time... whatever, soon I will buy a 9800 or better... they aren't that expensive anymore...

Only now the 9800's are called GTS 250.

Actually, now that I think of it, a GTX 260 shouldnt be too expensive.... (I have a GTX 260 myself)

Ok, but you didnt tell me, do you see a "No Text" message in the loading screen?

No, I don't, the messages are shown correctly, something about fireballs, i never had that "no text"-problem, the loading screen just loads forever, the background sound changes to wind after some time, and after more time the wind fades and no sound is played anymore... the wind fades slowly out...

I'm afraid I cant help you then Usually a simple Reinstall, fixes most problems, but this is something deeper than that.

Either some other member of this community can help you, or you can simply e-mail support@stardock.com.

Edit: you can also look in the "Demigod Problem reports" section of the forums for someone with a similar problem as yours.

maybe you just aren't waiting long enough.

sometimes takes a long ass time to load a game.

leave it on for 10mins then go afk, and see if game is on by the time you get back ^^
