So is Beta today

Grrr please be today. Elemental War of Magic looks to be a game i have wanted to play for along time now. Finaly a magic based game like MoM is comming out with new and improved game engine. I when i first saw the game frfom impulse link to web site i went and pre-ordered after reading just the lore and i have waited for the beta to start. Now that it is almose here. Hmmm its hard to wait lossing instrest in other games only think what can and will be modded and the input we could possiably add to the game. Sorry but i spent many a late night draeaming what we can do to make this the all time best ame out their. well later

Really?  Why do you say it's today?  I haven't seen anything that says it's today.  There were allusions to it arriving prior to the 22nd and possibly this week, but was this said somewhere I missed?

From the PAX part 2 post that frogboy posted on the 8th

"Now, all that said, the beta, which is due out in the next 2 weeks, is NOT going to be fun.  Let me reiterate that: IT WILL NOT BE FUN. IT WILL BE HORRIBLE. WE ARE TURNING OFF THE MAIN GRAPHICS ENGINE."

 

I take this to mean sept. 22

NO...and Servius, that was mean, cruel, and uncalled for...which I imagine was your intent   

I'm actually out of the office today due to a bad illness that swpet through the fam and we're still recovering.  Hopefully none of the other teammembers got it.

As for the build we still have 1/2 of our 'to-do for beta' list to go, so I wouldn't expect any news today or tomorrow.

Thanks for jumping in here, Scott!  Today seemed a bit too soon after PAX to have a release.  If you could get it done before the weekend, that would be sweet, though.

Get feeling better.  I hope it's not H1N1!

you call?  I haven't been in this thread yet.

 

For the record, I haven't known Stardock to do many updates on monday (with exception of when they are ready on Friday and just waited for the weekend so they are around when the **** hits the fan.  They don't like to work on weekends)   But since there wasn't a "we're ready to release on monday" post somewhere, it shouldn't have been expected.

 

@Boogie:  Hope your family recovers quickly.

I'm actually hoping the beta gets delayed a few more days. I've been forced to cut way back on my spending due to the economy, and the earliest I can possibly scrape together the money for a preorder is next Tuesday. I'd hate to just miss the beta window after following the development of the game for so long.

Sorry to hear about the illness, though. I hope you all get better soon.

I propose we all chip in and sent a case or two of Red Bull (or the caffeine-based infusion mechanism of their choice) to the Stardock offices.

Just as a hint. 

 

(Maybe Red Bull laced with Nyquil for certain developers...)

Today is always today. Yesterday is always yesterday. And future is always future. So how can you live in the past if it's yesterday and you live in the present that is today and future does never happen because things can only happen in the present?
