Hey all,
I've been searching through the forums on upcoming titles and licenses that impulse is obtaining and I've come up empty. I'd like to know which titles impulse is working on aquiring a fair amount of time before the title is actually released on impulse.
Example is this week I saw mount and blade on sale on steam so I bought it. I then went to impulse and low and behold it suddenly appeared to be offered there as well (granted not for the same sale price). Now this was the first time I'd seen or heard of M&B being offered on impulse. There was like no prelude to it. It just suddenly appeared one day with no previous information that the title was even being considered for obtainment and distribution by impulse.
Now to my point; had I known said title would be offered on impulse I probably would have held off on buying it until impulse had it (and put it on sale for a reasonable price). Another title is Titan Quest. I had no previous knowledge that impulse would supply the game, so I purchased it on steam before it released on impulse. I would have gladly waited a few months for it to release on impulse and purchase it through there.
These are just a few titles that I've purchased on steam because impulse didnt have them and didnt have information regarding the potential procurement of them. Long story short, is there a place where this information is available and if not, please make this information available so that loyal customers like myself can tell themselves "just a few more weeks and we can get this on impulse instead of steam".
Thanks!
Edit: Awesome, thanks. That page needs a sticky!
Further Edit: Is there a posting for requested games? There are alot of titles that nobody seems to have and it would be awesome if impulse got the jump on them. Titles like any of the startrek series of games, age of empires (1,2,3,expns), alpha centauri by firaxis, etc... Many of these games I have the disks for, but would like digital copies so that I dont have to hunt through that big box in the back storage room under the christmas decorations and twined in cobbwebs every time I want to get a nostolgia fix. (Brings up an interesting thought as to why there seems to be no microsoft studio pc games available for digital download that I know of... They seem to be behind the times now).
