I found a bug in Dark Avatar involving the Dread Lords and how the spies work.
I got the Dread Lord event that they're coming to take back over the universe or whatever. Great, just great, right?
I don't know if a random planet is made their homeworld or if they have to take it over, I dunno because I didn't explore the part of the galaxy they popped up in. Anyway, after I find their homeworld, I fill it up with spies. I see their entire planet is made up of manufacturing districts & a starport, along with their colony tile. I fill everything I can up with spies, and bring their planet to a standstill. The only manufacturing points they get is from their colony tile, which is great, because they can't pump out too many ships this way.
First thing I notice is that they can't/won't remove my spies. Shortly I reach advanced espionage level, but the kicker is, I can't really spy on them or see any of their details. Their 1 ship they have flying around space, I can look at the intelligence report but I can't see it's destination or nothing. Same thing with the planet, I can't look at the planet to see the details.
Then I notice that I'm not even at war with them. I thought they start out at war with everybody in the galaxy like pirates are. But when I prepare to attack their 1 ship flying around, it tells me I have to declare war. Well, if I'm not at war, then I sure as hell don't want to start one now.
Then a few AIs somehow make peace with the DLs, which I find rather strange since you can't even speak to them normally. But then I click on one of the event icons on the side of the screen when one race made peace, and it took me to the diplomacy screen where I'm talking to them. Then I had to laugh because he/it begged me not to hurt it. Which I find funny because I only had a handful of large ships in fleets, but my attack rating was nothing compared to them, they probably could've wiped me out with a single ship.
