updated all minbari ships now as well as the shadow ship (some corrections, addition of thumbnails etc). should be available in about a week depending how fast SD is.

Well i did some video editing, and trimming and right now i have the EA vids in game
NOTE- THIS IS A ACTUAL BLK VIDEO, NOT A PIC, ITS 5-10 SEconds of video, depending on mood, i have one angry/default,happy. This is a screen of happy. Am still in the process of workin on the others, when am done ill post em here with a readme.

@Rav8, happy you liked the matte one, i hope you put them both in so ppl have a choice between the two. I plan on doing them all actually, sometimes i have time contraints with women, travel, writing and gaming. So ill do my best
I think the Centauri redesign is up next, its unfortunate that the logos in their normal form are such disasters for GC2, the Centauri one is going to be interesting. After im done with them all ill go back and make them all better

SD is reallly sloooooooow with getting things to the library so ill send them to the Library and to you simultaneously.

Well am almost done with all races, i even made a title movie for the mod.

However before i post it, i need to get a hold of RAV8, and see if he likes it/ wants to put it in the next release. OR have it as an add-on media pack for the current release. So until i talk to him, i cant post the link for it yet.

I was going to make a logo for the mod title screen. Something more official B5 looking. What do you think RAV8?

just spend a few hours working on the Centauri logo. The design went well, but i have to work on the color scheme, its difficult to match the normal colors and still have the logo seeable on the GC2 map.

Downloading Spaxspore's movies now - screenshots look promising, love that cheesy grin! It would definately need to be a separate download seeing it weighs in at about 60mb. Should be able to get the mod itself under 20mb for the next version.

The Centauri logo is the most difficult to convert to something that works well in GC2, good luck Star Dagger

I'll be pretty busy this week (just started a new job today) but then I'm not really doing any of the hard stuff, just putting it all together.

Yeah, its torture but the initial stages went pretty well. I think i have it under control, i just think of how the Centauri will reward me if i do it right (parties with the bald babes ) and how they will 'reward' me if i mess it up (G'kars old cell)

Im going to have to do some fancy footwork with the coloring, now that the design is worked out.

I think the EA logo might be the hardest since their is text in it, its a real nightmare. The best way to go for that might be the superimposed EA, rather than the seal.

ok i hear Londo calling again asking when the logo is going to be done, he has a Drazi delegation coming tonight and wants it done by then.

I should have stayed on Narn,

First of all thanks for the great ships, ive used them alot.

Can you send me the rotating ships, 1 version that is slighty too big and the other that is the size of a T-bolt. Ill see if i can mess with it. I do that often to replace talent, hammer at something for 50 hours until it gives up, hehe.

Yea i know its big, 23mb of the 63mb is the new intro movie i made.
but to me anyone who has broadband, 63mb is nothing. However we can always make a slim down ver for people on dail up still. - IE one clip for each race that has just the default emotoion and cut the intro movie out.

Ok here is some teasers of the upcoming Media Pack.
Please note, I did 3 different emotions of each race(default,happy,angry). The ones picture are the default (youll love the "centauri happy")

Am going to just go ahead and release it , as a BETA MEDIA pack for RAV8's B5 mod. If he wants to integrate it with the next release of his mod go right ahead.

I think i got everyone, but ill hate if i missed some one.

Rav, Star, Spax & Coplan you are all men amonst children. While everyone is wishing to make a new mod (myself included) you all have done it. Congratulations.

Since DL'ing Ravs initial beta this mod is all I have played. I've fattened up the major races just for flavor by adding Drakh, Narn & Brakiri and not out of realism. It has been great fun to work with this mod and changes I make for my own personal modifications are done using this as a skeleton, I've all but forgotten the original campaign.

If you need an extra set of hands, eyes etc.. count me in. I'm fairly useless at modeling, however, I am capable of modifying the flat files/xml as needed.
Some of my own changes (non b5 related) are centering around the following:
* making large/capitol class ships project their power better via working with the sizemod attribute to add more weapons to the larger ships
* Scaling the hps of all ships increasing/decreasing again making large/huge ships more beefy
* changing logistics of ships (they are bugged as of the 1.2 beta) i'm also making it so larger fleets are possible to have larger fleets and full swarms of tiny/small ships.

* B5 specific changes, i'm starting to read up on ship specific lore dealing with the differences in ship capabilities. example of menbari crystal based armor, centauri gravity generators etc.. This could lead to adjusting the base HP, Sensors, Speed etc.. of each races ships allowing greater diversity then our stock ship templates currently do. Also adding higher level of tech trees to the older races such as Ion drives to menbar/centauri

I just wanted to say thanks again for such a great mod.

I find the following link exceptional for reference material for B5. It lists almost all the ships seen in the series and goes as far as working out energy output and requirements!

I can help organize and write the files for the tree; however, without reading any of the books I won't know of the specific techbologies which are shared amongst the races of B5.

Maybe someone with a little more background knowledge could help us research? Though I realize without JMS here giving us a yea or nea much of it will be subjective and we'll just have to do our best. However, I think allot of the existing tech tree can remain the same with some B5 specific techs sprinkled in or renamed to preserve the atmosphere.

In the mean time to keep us going post URLs to informational sites as Jaghati has done.

btw, Iam going to work on 1 or 2 more ships this week. what should it be? Omega-X (shadow-tech Omega), Asimov Liner (Human Trade/Transport), Babylon 5 itsself or should I start on Narn ships? ^^

@Coplann & Vorlone: The Narn ships are what I've been waiting for. Primarily to round out the primary races. That way rav8 can build them into the mod as well.

Coplann - particularly, the Asimov Liner would be a nice touch; espeically for the purposes you've noted. That would help round out the non-military ships.

One ship type that might also be looked into by someone might be a specific troop transport / invasion ship. I'm not sure if there was a specific one shown in the series (that I can immediate remember - may have to watch it again), but it would be helpful. (Just an idea)

Regardless of all this, all you guys are really great! Keep up the good .... no, GREAT work!!!!!!
