Finding an immersive game is more than satisfying for many of us. This will probably sound like I don't have a life, and I only speak for myself. As a person who is home-bound, it is a treat to find a great game and to have the opportunity of making friends with other like-minded space sim enthusiasts.

I share the sentiment somewhat, though I wouldn't state it as dramatically. The AI has its faults, but I certainly applaud the earnest effort to make an AI worth playing against instead of taking easy shortcuts. It's not just the effort, but their accomplishments in this area, given their limitations both in terms of budget / man power as well as the limitations they enforce on themselves to keep processing time to a minimum on mid-lower end PCs. I am also delighted at their continuing efforts to support and improve the product after it's release for no charge as well as the depth of their involvement with their players. These are things that will not go unnoticed.

Things can always get better though. We've got a good chance at seeing a GalCiv 3 after all.

Good times. I found the treasure, but I don't even have a T-shirt to show for it though.

I feel exactly the same. While there is not all gold that glitters (some UI glitches, Artwork...), a non cheating AI was the major point for me to buy this excellent game.

I'm really glad that GalCiv2 seems to be a commercial success for Stardock, so they are able to continue their good work.
