guessing the new scoring system was implemented in 1.1 beta 3? b/c my scores started getting way lower then.

Played as Torians vs Drengin
gigantic size,everything abundant, suicidal, tech rate = very slow(5x tech cost), ended in 7 years
Ending Stats:
Conquest Victory
Colonies: 355
Population: >5,200B
Economy: >110,000 at 80%tax
Military Rating: >600,000
All techs researched, including technological victory (200,000pts!)
Had superiority to win at 5 years at ~95k score, ~3,000B pop. However, besides wanting to see if i could reach a higher score, I also wanted to make/break some population/military goals, and try out some strategies. wanted to figure out the sweet spot. seems to be somewhere 6-7 years.
Notes:
at >250% morale (includes resources), pretty common endgame for gigantic size universe
80% tax rate seems to be the breaking point. I could maintain ~90% approval.
at 81%tax, approval hit 1%.
Magic # for population seems to be 21million (5base+2intensive farm, advanced farms hurt because they cost more).
At this population, morale is manageable with 2-4 VR centers -->60-90% colony approval, @22 million pop the # of VR centers per colony becomes annoyingly unmanageable. need about 5-8.
Economic starbases MUCH less effective. I think they used to multiply stack(totalbonus=%bonus^starbase#), now they seem to just add(%bonus*starbase#). However, the 4/sector rule is sweet. since I had a colony cluster at a corner, I was able to have 16 starbases effect ~8 colonies. however getting 112 constructors there is not sweet.
starbases in general less effective, max econ=+50% additive (old 75%? multiplied), max resource=+49 (+59 old)
however econ starbase bonuses to research now show up correctly (used to favor military)
Error in Warp Drive MK V, for Cargo Hull. Shows 9 size in ship designer, but when u put it on, only takes up 4 space.
thankfully AI is no longer freighter screening. but wait! hundreds of unescorted colony ships, during wartime? they were trying to colonize planets behind me. a 400B drop in population from my sinking their colony ships later, they stopped when i started a wedge toward their homeworld.
