I'd love to create a mod - but...

I'm not usually too good at that sort of thing - (though the editor for the first galciv was ok)...

(And I've tried to post this tot eh modding forum - but keeps on saying the requested item did not exist???)

However, the one thing I am 'good' at, is writing music... (Since I'm a composer). However, orchestral music, (apart from a couple of peices) isn't really the sort of thing I normally write - however, for this game, I've made an exception, and so I've rearranged one of my peices for strings/harp/flute and french horns, to try and make it fit somewhat with whats already there - (though the sound is different sonce I'm using different instruments to those used by the original compsers - (I'm using EastWest Symphonic Orchestral Siver Edition/Edirol Orchestral)...

Anyway - I've got the peice here - (called A Waltz For Rachel GC2 edition

) - what should I do with it - can the game even play it along with the others? (Since I haven't tested it yet). If not then hmmmm - not sure what to do...

I'd love to give Excalibur - but it's not really suitable for the game really... (and, TBH - I'd prefer to get some money for that one - since it's worth it

(Plus I'm still tweaking it atm)).

Dont' sweat it, these forums are kind of hard to work with, due to heavy traffic. Another thing that mystifies me is how to post in another forum besides the main one. No matter what the topic field says when I initially post, the post always seems to go to the main one, weird.

However, if you are the original poster, you can change the subforum after the fact by editing your post and selecting the desired location. In your case, edit this post (or any of the other duplicates

) and change the topic feild to GalCivII->Modding.

Also, if you need a host for your music file (if your willing to share -please do!) , then ask Darth Griffin at www.thegalacticcore.com
