I, like you, love Objectdock. Fortunately, I discovered that if you go to the Objectdock folder (within Stardock folder), right click on "ObjectDock.exe", select Properties, and select the Compatibility tab you will be given the option to run ObjectDock in Windows 8 compatibility mode. Problem solved.
