After a clean install of Windows 11 Pro, I installed the latest version of Fences 4. I began having this issue one day after said clean install. It took me a day or so to relate the crashes to Fences, and the error was the Windows Explorer one. I uninstalled Fences, purges with the provided app, and restarted. The reason that I was looking for the snapshots was because I did want to do a clean install of Windows, thus a reinstall of Fences. I have several fences on my desktop, which I curated over the last yer or so. I don't want to have to go through the process of manually trying to recreate them. At this point, it looks like I really don't have much choice.
When I click on 'Take Snapshot', it returns a dialog box with the date. I click OK, and it says "Snapshot Taken". I then check the folder, and it is still empty.
The backup folder for my installation of Fences is empty. How can I force fences to create a current snapshot?
I have several computers in my home (more than 5). I have purchased more than one copy of Start 10. Is there a way to see which key was used to activate Start 10 on a particular computer? When I go to purchase history; it doesn't show which computers a particular key is attached to, or even how many or the 5 allotted copies are active.
With the impending release of Windows 11, I am curious to know if Start 10 will be compatible, or will there be a 'Start 11'? If the latter, will my existing Start 10 keys work, or will I have to buy a new copy?
Hello. I had Fences installed on a Lenovo Desktop that had a motherboard problem. I transferred the processor, RAM, Video card and SSD to a new motherboard and case. I neglected to uninstall / unactivate Fences on the computer before doing so. How can I free up a license to reinstall it? Thanks!
