i have this problem with a lot of stardock software and it's really kind of frustrating. i have mentioned before that the start11 config window, among others, is just too wide for my tablet in portrait mode. now connection explorer [which i really like] has the same problem. the reply before was inadequate - there is sufficient wasted space in the relevant the windows to make them narrower, but the real solution is to make them resizable with scrollbars as needed. i can't get along without st

well, startallback and start11 are coexisting pretty well on my pc. start11 is missing 2 things i can get from startallback: [1] ribbon in file manager, and [2] ability to have multilevel taskbar. both just make life easier :-) thanks!

hi - I'm sure this isn't as simple as I'd like, but all I want to do is change the color of the title bar and window border, and increase the size of the border, differentiating better among windows. I want to leave everything else as-is. In Win11, especially with Office apps in dark mode, I have a very difficult time telling the active window from those behind it and often move or close an app I didn't intend to. Any suggestions on how to do this most easily? Anyone point me to a the

apologies - miscommunication. i guess i should have said 'portrait orientation' [not 'tablet'] so as mentioned the width is 1200 pixels.. As you can see below the window is too wide. i can resize the height but not the width [which is really odd], and the full-screen expand box/icon top right on the title bar is greyed out. Similar problem with DesktopGPT, but it was so bad i just uninstalled.. thanks again <img src="https://cdn.stardock.us/forums

i use one of my computers as a tablet. DesktopGPT and Start11 configuration don't fit the width and are not resizable. Why are they not resizable? I'm uninstalling desktopgpt because it is completely unusable like this, and the config window for start11 is truly frustrating. Any chance this will ever change? thanks!

hi- Win11 23H2 all updates applied, on an Asus Rog Flow Z13 in portrait mode [tablet] Start11 has one feature missing that is important to me - returning the ribbon to file manager. To get this, i run Start11 and StartAllBack concurrently. They work amazingly well together with one exception. I prefer the start menu to occupy the full screen, but in this configuration, with full screen selected, the start menu stops about an inch from the top of the screen. I'm just wondering

Hi- the title says it all - is there a way to get 2 [or more] rows of icons in the tray? i really dislike the overflow thingy. There is a registry hack that is *supposed to* do this in stock Win11, although i haven't tested it. Awesome product, BTW. Win11 without it is a true pain :-)

i'd like to bump this to try again :-) start11 v2 has several new start menu styles and i'd like to try them but that would require repinning all of the [many] apps i've already pinned and, unless i work from a screenshot i don't know how to be sure i'd get them all. is there really no way to sync among the styles?

This may not be possible, but Start11 has made Win11 useable again, so i thought i'd just put in a feature request. :-) The new dumbed-down file manager ribbon replacement is nonsense. The registry hack that used to bring the ribbon back no longer works (and broke other things anyway), and my current work-around (start control panel, hit the menu bar up arrow twice) works, but the result has no tabs. For me, the ideal file manager would be like the Win10 file manager + Groupy,

Just reporting this, no reply expected unless there is a current fix. I have a dual monitor setup with my main monitor at desk level and a secondary monitor above it. The desktop is extended across the monitors such that the second monitor is an upward extension of the main monitor. When I use either the Modern or Win7 themes and open the start menu, it stretches all the way up into the top monitor. The icons are displayed on the top monitor and there is a big b

i'm still not sure why having the same start menu items across all themes isn't a reasonable request. i've been trying to decide which works best for me. i populated the start menu for Win10, but there are aspects of Modern that are better (in my opinion - do not take this a criticism of any of the themes) and i'd like to switch but repopulating the start screen is really annoying. yes - the idea would be that a single SM app list carries across all themes, so deleting

really great tool! just a couple of thoughts 1) why don't things i've pinned to start11 in one theme show up in the start menus of all themes? this seems kind of obvious...? 2) the ability to drag the taskbar to two -or more - rows of icons would be very helpful 3) right-clicking on the taskbar using touch or a surface pen (long press, or click-tap with the pen) still does not bring up the functional menu, only the dumbed down win11 'taskbar settings' &

I'm *really* surprised you're considering this as a release candidate. On my Surface Go 2 portrait-mode touch tablet, it's a complete mess. 1) long-press does not translate to right-click as it should, so i cannot see the old win10 menu on the taskbar - only the win11 single-item 'list' 2) Using the Win11 theme, i could only get two icons on the start menu. If i chose to pin a third it overwrote one of those already there. When i switched to a different theme, everything i pin

i have a pile of shortcuts i'd like to pin to the start11 start menu. doing them one at a time will be a pain. is there a folder i can drag and drop them into to do them all at once. also - when i right-click [by long press] on the taskbar all i get is the crippled win11 taskbar settings link. i've set it to give me the win10 menu. ??? thanks

How do i submit feature requests? 1) Start Full Screen (i.e. a return of Tablet Mode) - i use a tablet, touch only, portrait mode. it's REALLY annoying to try to get my big fingers to touch a tiny icon or, worse yet, traverse a set of nested menus just to have to touch a tiny text string in a menu. I *loved* that in Win10 i could make the start screen permanent and full-screen, so i could put tiles for the apps i use on it and not have to fight tiny-ness. Any chance?

thanks. i know Edge can use tabs in tablet mode. is it that much different? guess i'll have to find a tabbed file manager...

I cannot get groupy to open new tabs when I'm using tablet mode on Win10. it would be so helpful. I've really only tried with file manager. is tablet mode not supported? can we expect it in an update? it's not like win10 is brand new...😊

(win 10, surfacebook, latest revs of all the stardock apps (i think...)) So one of the things i was looking forward to with objectdock was the 'docklets' - a decent weather 'let, some system info in the dock, etc. other than the pitiful few that are included with purchase, i can't find anything. where are they hiding? plenty of skins (???) but nothing that DOES SOMETHING. am i just misleading myself - do they really not exist ? :-) i
