You totally missed the point I was making to point at a company that is an absolute exception and not the rule. I learned in business decades ago that prices are dictated by the market and what the consumer will pay. The consumer pays for apple products *which btw speaks volumes for the intelligence of society in general.* But ya, exceptions don't change rules, thats why they are called exceptions.

I COMPLETELY DISAGREE! It is NOT up to a maker of a product to decide its value, its up to the consumer purchasing said product. If the price is too high for said consumer, not only is it within his rights to NOT BUY IT, but say why. If the maker of the product doesn't care, they can count on going out of business.
