I found the beta version. Sadly it did nothing different. On a whim, I uninstalled the beta version and reinstalled it. Still no difference. Finally I uninstalled the beta version once more and checked the status of All Apps. Without Start11 installed, all icons are no longer blank/ghosted. And once pinned to the start menu, all items execute without error. It looks like to me I will not be installing Start11 until more revisions are

I looked for the beta version on the Stardock website, but wasn't able to locate it.
It appears that my problem now is that once the initial installation of Start11 created a passel of ghost/blank icons, especially Windows apps, is how to get the real icons all back. I don't believe there is any good solution for that out there. I have tried several suggestion ways to get them back, all to no avail.

I'll run Speccy to get you a report.
I don't think I can get anything newer than 21H2. To go to 23H2, you have to be at 22H2. I can't update to 22H2 because it says my PC doesn't qualify. Dead end it appears.
I just now ran Windows Update. It says I am up to date. I checked the history and it's never even attempted to install 23H2. All of my icons showed correction in the All Apps list prior to installation of Start11. Once I started pinning apps to Start11, some are now ghosted/blank. I will attempt signing out and back into Windows following the launch

I ran the Start Menu troubleshooter. There were no problems found. I ran the DISM commands and SFC command to rebuild the icon and thumbnail cache. The problem persists. I am seriously considering trying this all a couple of other computers since I purchased a multi-user license, or even uninstalling Start11 on this PC and attempting to fix everything on the Start menu again for ghosted/blank icons (if I can) and reinstalling Start11. This is very frustrating

Since the icon is ghosted/blank now on the Start menu - All Apss, it is ghosted/blank when pinned anywhere. The blank/ghosted icon works from the Start menu - All Apps, however it does not work when pinned using Start11 to either the Pinned, Start11 sections whether an icon by itself or in a group.
If you notice the screen shot, there are blank icons in the Start11 pinned section. Installing Start11 made them blank. These blank icons were not blank prior to installing Start11.
Windows version: Start11 version: I pinned the programs and apps by going to Start - All apps - right click desired program/app and select Pin to Start prior to installing Start11. Here's what the blank icons look like either by
I just installed Start11 v2. After pinning several programs and apps to the Start Menu, I noticed many of them now have blank icons. They were not blank before Start11 was installed. In addition, many of those blank icons, but not all, no longer work at all. The message is displayed that Windows cannot find the app or program and says to make sure the name is typed correctly. These were programs already install on the Windows computer before Start11 w
Thanks, Basj! Aha! It appears to be a SUMo problem then. I shall report it as such. Thanks very much for your time and help!
The link you sent does not list what the current versions of the sofware are. I can't seem to find any release notes anywhere. Thanks.
I use SUMo (Software Update Monitor) to keep track of sofware updates. SUMo tells me that there is an update to Curtains. I have v.1.1.9.1 installed and need to updated to v.1.2.0.0. However when I check Curtains for updates, it tells me I have the latest version. So is there a version 1.2.0.0 available? If so, how do I go about getting to it? Thanks!
Got the purge done. Rebooted. Reinstalled. Rebooted. Two days went by with no issues. All of a sudden the issue started happening again just as before. So here I am back to square one again.
For some time now, Fences 4.0 just quits working. All Fences disappear and all icons are dispersed to the desktop. While rebooting at first seemed to fix it, it no longer takes care of it. For a while I was able to just start up the interface to configure Fences and after a period time, the Fences would just reappear. Now the frequency of Fences going away occurs multiple times a day. There are no updates available for Fences to address any situation like this.&n
I discovered the solution for Sticky Notes to start with Windows. You do not need Groupy at all. Just leave open the Sticky Notes you want to start with Windows and reboot. They will be there once the desktop is all loaded up.
I have several related Sticky Notes that I would like to group together using Groupy. I set everything up (open them all up, renamed tabs, etc.) and I saved the group. However, when I try to open the group, nothing happens at all. I have another group with other Windows programs including some universal apps and they all open without issue. Has anyone else tried this and been successful? Any guidance? Thanks in advance.
I am trying to add my own shortcuts to some Windows Apps with ObjectDock. I managed to drill down and find where the exe files are stored for the apps I want. When I try to click on the dock icon, I get the error message that "Windows cannot access the specified device, path, or file. You may not have the appropriate permissions to access the item. Has anyone else tried doing this for Windows apps successfully? What was the trick to get them to work? <
By the way, it also happened when I had multiple desktops enabled in Fences as well. They never aligned adjacent to one another as I repeatedly tried to do. Thanks.
I tried that for a while. I had the same problem when I had Fences spread across three different desktops. Now I am back to one desktop because icons get kicked out of a Fence and just left floating on the desktop. I have not had that problem since I reduced things down to one desktop.
