I had Start 10 installed on my wife's laptop so it looked like the Windows 7 screen we were familiar with. When she started the PC this morning, it came up to the Windows 10 screen. I couldn't figure out how that happened or how to make it revert to the Windows 7 appearance. In desperation, I ran System Restore and that put us back to the familiar Windows 7 desktop. Any idea what caused this? Was there a way to do it without running System Restore?

I was using Start8 on my Windows 8.1 desktop and liked it. I recently upgraded my OS to Windows 10 (free). the Windows free upgrade to Windows10. I did not uninstall Start8 before doing the upgrade. Now, things look pretty much the same with Windows 10 running (Start8) as they did with Windows 8.1. I read in a posting that Start8 does not work with Windows 10. What difference would I see if I uninstall Start8 from Windows 10 now and installed Start10?
