Thanks for your reply. I must apologize for bothering you. I managed to resolve the problem, moments ago. Changing the desktop color and the taskbar transparency showed the problem to be that in attempting to drag an object on the desktop, I accidentally re-sized the height of the taskbar. (From my original post "I dragged an object across the screen.") Thanks again.

This started a couple of weeks ago when I dragged an object across the screen. I tried everything I could at the time, but was involved in a project that I couldn't take time off from. Today, I upgraded to 2.5 but the problem persists. In order to use Start11 I need to set the taskbar to autohide. Otherwise it gets in the way of whatever app is maximized. I tried moving the taskbar to the top and it displayed in the correct position. It even worked properly
Well, now, I'm feeling foolish for not looking at that, though I have no idea how it happened. Thanks very much.
I broke my rule of not using beta software on a "must use" machine, but being able to get multiple rows of icons on the taskbar was too tempting. I'd had several occasions when after a period of time, the taskbar reverted back to a single row, but I was able to drag the height back...until the last time, I went to drag the top of the taskbar up, but instead, it immediately jumped to the top of the screen. Nothing I've tried can get it back down to the bottom.&n
Applying DeskScapes to either monitor results in black background for both. Screensavers work. Tried everything I could think of to solve the problem. Suggestions?
