Spot on, that did the trick - I'm not sure how I didn't find that when I was searching - Thank you :)

Hi all I'm using Start 11 (v2.11)/Windows 7 style. I may be missing something blindingly obvious, but I would like to be able to pin more than 10 Excel/Word/etc files on the sub menu that opens on the right when you hover over an app on the left. When I pin an 11th, it goes to the top and the previous number 10 disappears. My left menu is configured for 35 small shortcuts...so space is not the issue. Is this possible? Also, is there a way to manually so
I had honestly thought I tested this, but apparently I didn't. If I have any window open on my main monitor it works fine, the moment everything on that screen is minimised, it reverts to the Windows start menu.
So, I figured I would post a small update - This morning, booted up and was having to use the windows key to get to Start11 as before. I hadn't gotten around to running a full screen game to fix it, but I played a video (not full screen) from Youtube in my browser, and now Start 11 is working normally. Not sure how, or even if, that could help...but I wanted to make sure that I give all of the info. :)
Config needs to be open and not minimised on any screen and then Start 11 works correctly on each Monitor. Interestingly, I went into a game and, since coming out of the game it's stable and working correctly. Although following a reboot it does the same thing :/ Reboot, needs config loaded. Launch full screen game and come out - Stable and working as expected. At least I have a workaround :)
I can confirm that disabling the "Use a custom start button image" option allows me to boot without issues. I now have the issue that, unless Start 11s config is launched, I only get the Windows 11 start menu. The moment I have Start 11 config open (not minimised btw) then start 11 works as expected. The Windows key works correctly, but clicking the start button does not.
Hi - For the first couple of attempts, I had the start button on the left and selected a Start icon from the list in the config - So not a custom, but chosen from your supplied icons. Following the purge all script, I ran and installed with only defaults - No changes at all to whatever is installed. My Windows 11 standard start is already left-aligned though - In case Start 11 is using that on install.
Same issue here - Blank Taskbar / Crashing Explorer / Heavy CPU Utilisation Triple monitor setup - left/right/center config - Scale at 100% - Start Menu aligned left. I initially updated from the 0.5(?) beta - Then uninstall/re-install - Then uninstall with remove settings/re-install - Now Purge script/re-install. Reboot between uninstall/re-install and also directly after install. Same crash each time. In place upgrade to retail Win 11 Pro 21H2 (22000.194)
It's working now, thanks. Just to confirm - The option was always on. Following the Creators Edition update, the option had been turned off. After turning it back on, it needs a reboot to kick in :) Cheers
Hi there I recently upgraded my Windows 10 with the Creators update and, weirdly, I now have no recently used items. I noticed, after the update, that "Show recently used applications" was unticked. So I re-ticked it, but am still not seeing any recently used apps being populated. Is this a known issue? Cheers
Same here, although I lost the recent games sub-menu from steam. Only Steam too as far as I can see. Not sure if this is a Steam on Windows 10 issue or a Start 8 on Windows 10 issue. I will be upgrading to Start 10 soon though.
Hi all I have experienced this in a couple of games now (namely DC Universe Online and Alliance of Valiant Arms). These are both games that require a lot of mouse clicking. With DCUO (where it happens more often) it seems to be right click related. What happens is that during a particular intensive bout of mouse clicking, I will get thrown back to the desktop and either the Win+X menu will appear, or Start8. Has anyone else experienced this?
