~bump~ I have tried every setting option and this is still happening. WB6 should recognize that I have cleartype systemwide settings 'off', just as WB5 did. -Kevin

I installed the newest version of WB6 via SDCentral this morning. Everything seems to work fine, except for one oddity. I use RealTimeSoft's Ultramon so I have a taskbar on my 3 additional monitors. On each extra Ultramon toolbar, Cleartype is being used for the taskbar items. Cleartype is OFF in Windows settings and I can't find a place that would be affecting this in WB settings. This problem did NOT occur when using WB5. Here are my details: OS: Wi

I use Windowblinds and Photoshop CS3. In Photoshop, my typical behaviour is to right click on an images title bar to access either "Image Size" or "Canvas Size". Unfortunately this has the unintended side-effect of 'rolling up' my window every time. Ugh. I went into configuring WB and there is an option for "Action to take when right clicking on a title-bar". Unfortunately (and in my opinion missing) is an option that says "Do nothing". Am I missing this opt

I also had this problem with NVIDIA GeForce 7300 LE using the latest drivers. I was only able to get rid of the problem by rolling back to drivers from 4 months ago (8x.xx series)

Opened up SDCentral and update to Windowblinds 5.50.021 was available so I updated and restarted. Upon restart, Windowblinds did not load the taskbar icon and reverted back to 'classic' windows theme. Under services, it still said that Windowblinds service was automatic and running. I should have copied my system information, but I didn't before re-installing. I re-downloaded from the link in my initial registration email and re-installed, and now everything works aga

Ok, today I encountered this problem as well. I started getting the BSOD upon a restart, and the error was the same, "***WIN32K,Sys-Address etc etc". However, I do NOT have Catalyst or ATI products at all. I am running nVidia Geforce 7300 LE (yes the card is pretty crappy, I'm waiting for DX10 to upgrade). I know that there have been some mentions that nVidia's drivers aren't up to snuff in Vista yet and I agree, but it is clear this is happening elsewhere than ATI/Catalyst systems.

Unfortunately I was unable to install the existing SkinStudio on Vista... I am running as an administrator account but I still got errors at the VERY end of install about "error copying file... please make sure you are running setup as an administrator". Anyway, I tried opening the program anyway. It worked partially. After I imported my skin, I got an error again and had to kill the program. However, my skin "DID" show up in Windowblinds and I was able to apply it. Strange!

I'm curious... I have 1 skin I want to convert The skin author is no longer around and I was hoping to convert it for personal use. I don't design skins/themes so I don't really want to purchase Skinstudio. Will there be a demo version of it available that I can use to convert a single theme? Thanks, -Kevin

Hats off to Stardock for an amazing product. I am using Windowblinds 5.5 as of this morning on Vista Business and it rocks. Thank goodness I have control back and don't have to look at MS's hideous black taskbar anymore. Yay! I had read quite a bit (I thought) about how Windowblinds 5.5 would be able to import msstyles and use them. Now, I cannot find anything about this. Perhaps I was wrong and it is Skinstudio that is required to port them first but that isn't what I remember rea

How come I can "TRY" the program if I have XP, but I can't try it if I have Vista. I can only BUY the version that works with Vista? This is according to the feature list of free vs. enhanced. By the way, the download link for 5.5 goes to 5.1 on Download.com. -Kevin
