My first impressions on my Vista Ultimate X64 notebook (Quadro FX3700 M graphics [latest Dell-approved drivers], Q9300 processor, 8GB RAM): it runs well if nothing else is running, but once I load other apps, even with a negligible CPU load (Object Dock being the main user at, say, 2-5%), it is generally (not always) sluggish.
