Same here. DL'ed the new v1.43 this morning and the problem is corrected. 👍

No good... nothing works. I'm still requesting a refund. I filled out a refund request ticket as per above, but no response...
I went ahead and did a complete uninstall-reinstall, with restarts in between. (The last time I had just installed 3.0 over top of an existing 2.0 installation.) Anyway, I tried the above recommendation after the new reinstall. Under "Sorting and Organizing" and "By Default" there are only two options; New icons can be added to an existing fence or to "the general desktop" as shown above. At that time I found Fences 3.0 to be incredibly unstable, causing Explorer crashes and screen redraws constantly. I asked for and received a refund.
