Ok, I'm out of here. I updated with Impulse and all my settings were lost. Fortunately I had made a full sized wallpaper screen shot of my "work of art". And I had saved my icon locations with Desktop Restore. So all I had to do was to remove the icon images from the wallpaper screen shot with Photoshop and set that as my new wallpaper. Now my screen looks just as it did before but I don't need Fences and Impulse. And for the record, the reason I quit trying to work with

Thanks Zubaz Hate to sound like such a dweeb. But I'm using XP and while I'm very familiar with where application settings are normally kept, I can find the backup settings but not the main ones. Can you or anyone tell me where the data is in XP? Thanks

1. When execute the update it wants to uninstall the current version. Will I loose my current settings if I proceed? 2. Where are the current settings stored? I'd like to back them up. Thanks
