Ok.. such response to my post. First of all, the first response was not correct, but the 17th one was. Tech support alerted me to the fact that there was a standalone install yesterday and I immediately installed it and was happy. This means that the 'system requirements' everyone so arrogently pointed me too are NOT, in fact, correct. Impulse client is not required for Object Dock. Good thing I didn't read them. I was going to come here and apologize f
Impulse is like the store demanding that I walk there instead of taking my car because it is better for them. If I bring my car, they don't let me through the doors. When I can obtain similar stuff in the car-friendly store on one side, and the same stuff out of the back of a van behind it.
Well.. to use a similar analogy, I recently purchased a membership at a membership-based store. I didn't bother asking them what their hours were, what method of payments they accepted, or if the door was big enough for me to enter the store, if I could use any of their outlets, or if they always had stuff to sell me, or if they wanted to sell to me.. Because they're a store, they operate like any other stores do. Stardock is doing something different here; I didn't think of loo
But I didn't WANT to install impulse on my work machine... Oh my god.. you know what, when I want to buy some milk I usually go to the store that's open all day every day. Not the one that's open 5am-6am on Tuesday and 1:30pm-2:15pm on Thursday. Oh you know what, there are no stores like that because they wouldn't sell anything. You have to help people buy you stuff, not put roadblocks up. Sorry for the rant, really.. And I'm sorry that people steal stu
If you could please help me out.. how is this done? All I can find is 'download and archive' which does not seem to save as an executable.
Thank you for your response. There may be a light at the end of the tunnel. Impulse must be installed to download the software. I don't mind going through the steps of installing this if I can download it on that machine and install it on the one where I really want it. Is this possible? I'm going to try it.
Hi there.. I was wondering if anyone could help me. I'm an independent contractor and I wanted to install object dock on my work laptop just to make my life alittle nicer. Well I purchased the software, and without warning, I got pelted with demands to install something called impulse client. I can't install something like that on my work laptop (to be honest, I install too many things as it is). I tried installing impulse on a VM that I don't really care about but the
