I agree with OP, but also: Somewhere SD compared Elemental to writing an essay, but coding a word processor to write it on first. The idea was that after making your own tools, the actual creative work is relatively easy. The problem is that they didn't continue the metaphor. When you write the paper you still have to write a good one, and before the deadline. Your tutor will not accept 'but I coded the word processor' as an excuse. A problem (not just here) is that game

Offer empirical data before making such claims. But then, this wouldn't be the internet.
How can you prove what you think?
Another thumbs up from me. On the art in general I would say that your versions are actually closer in concept to some of the pre-release art. The art in this game was supposedly influenced by Mucha. Although he used pastel colours he did use contrast effectively. I think that Elemental's colours are better described as dull. He also used hard lines and often well defined features. The characters' faces in Elemental are much more rounded with soft, half-formed features (particularly noses) th
Tridus - only the first couple of lines of what I wrote was related to what you said, and I wasn't really disagreeing with you. Actually, I think we agree. The rest of my comments were generally directed at the more zealous sections. Sorry for the confusion. I should use line breaks more maybe?
But plate? If you're a front line melee unit who is going to get pounded, you probably want armor that actually functions like armor. You can make armor that both looks good AND looks like something that could plausably work. So no chainmail bikinis. Please.
Is this a good time to point out that the existing male plate armour looks absurdly unrealistic as things already stand? SD has never marketed the game as a realistic medieval wargame. What I wan
Just to let you no-life-experience dorks know: girls don't actually hate men for liking breasts, and they don't mind (even like) female characters being sexy so long as it isn't gratuitous or overly stereotyping the female figure. As for realism, this isn't a Total War game. It says in the manual that women are as strong as men in the Elemental world so there's canon for you. Everyone knew this was a fantasy game so quit whining.
A simple post: I would like the ability to customise clothing and armour, either directly or through mods. On a basic level I think a bit more control of colour would be nice. I would also really like female armour skins, the ability to put surcoats on over armour (as that is what they're for) and just better looking armour in general. Most of the helmets look ridiculous. Is any of this going to happen do you think?
