Thank you Gargabee. I have emailed Stardock support and have attached the zip file from the tool utility. I originally had run the tool but didn't see how to attach it to the post. BTW: I have a second Asus computer (new) with Win8, 64 bit (not pro though) I5Core 3350CPU @ 3.10GHZ, Nvidia Gforce GT640 (3GB) 16GB Ram, Windows Experience Rating:6.7 overall, 6.9 Graphics, DirectX 11 with the same problem: Desk Scapes 8 will run as a screen saver but not on the desktop.<
