telling a way point to move instead of having to asign a new waypoint. patrol route waypoints. Combat scout ship scripts to tell a ship to avoid combat range but remain in sensor range. scripts to tell a fleet to intercept the closest enemie fleet within it's patrol route. with both of these you could form sensor picket fences that high speed patrols could automatically intercept.

A fitting solution to the idea of carriers is to add a selection of "fleet support modules" to ship design that would provide things like military base style field bonuses reserved for the fleet it's attached and even expendable supplies that can only be obtained at ports to repair damaged ships in the fleet. However if ships small enough to be effected by the support modules like life support do not have any at all and are out of supply range they should be destroyed if the carrier is

When a planet has ships in port enemy forces must contend with defending ships b4 invading. Why doesn't a starbase deserve the same luxury when ships are on the same tile. Especialy when it's a military starbase? Also, why can't starbases be invaded if a invasion ship is in the attacking fleet? have a chance that the base is taken instead of destroyed and have the base attributes operate at minus 50% (or more) bonus until a number of turns has passed and/or atleast one of your o

I would like to see support for opengl so I can get some of these games working on my Linux OS (PCLinuxOS) running under emulation without jumping through hoops to configure them.
