paying for a stardock subscription for products you can't even use (main reason you got the sub...) is pretty unsatisfactory. Windows 11 had beta for a long time and only a couple of companies seem to not be updating their code to work. It is one thing if you buy the software and the developer didn't plan on it or is late to the game but charging subs for software that doesn't work is pretty bad business.
Yeah I am thinking of not renewing my object desktop and Uninstalling all Stardock myself....
The purge fixed the problem. thanks!!! I was able to restore my snapshot. I did back up the folder in case i needed to replace it but it wasn't required. I did notice there was a box in the purge that says remove settings. I didn't check because I figured it would remove the snapshot but it still worked. I reinstalled the app through objectdesktop launcher since it is officially released for win11 now When is curtains coming? is it? or do i need to go back to windowsblinds?
What about my snapshot that i want to restore? how can i back that up and restore the configuration after i purge and re-install? I imagine all my fences will be gone at that point? I have alot of icons organized....
I am having issues all the sudden with my icons being double spaced horizontally and vertically and snap to grid so I can't organize them the way I would like. This just happened wasn't a problem before... my fences screenshot doesn't restore the layout. if i disable fences the icons go to normal behavior. when i activate it its all messed up again.... I do not have any special rules for my icons other than the default new icons go to the desktop....
I did notice some close/minimize/max buttons being invisible issues. didn't have start 11 installed at all just curtains/fences/deskscapes and the skins applied fine and worked good. Maybe I have the unicorn system but i'm pissed I lost it.....

So I feel like I am living in the twilight zone. I had win10 on my machine and installed the win11 pre-release candidate through windows insider. It upgraded all my software including curtains and it worked fine. I even went to wincustomize.com and downloaded curtains win11 specific skins that were working great. I see an update for curtains and like a good boy I update. It installs but still says update. It bugs the hell out of me so i reboot and try again. Same issue. I figure ok fi

Sorry this thread is bouncing all over. been awhile since I have used my stardock products. I am encountering an issue making my explorer windows transparent =( I saw some posts that we are not able to do this in win10??? I am in advanced config and the option to make transparent is greyed out? =(
On Arm CPU: thats too bad. I hope you can make a version for arm soon. Seems like it should be an easy fix to completely port it over. On my gaming box. I am getting it on many different deskscape wallpapers from wincustomize.com I don't know if its a drivers glitch or what. I also have objectdock subscription and wanted to try the new curtains product but it isn't in my objectdock manager or my licenses logging into the website =(
Any updates on this? Also I am having problems with deskscapes on my new gaming box with a i7 9700k and msi geforce rtx 2070 super with latest windows updates and drivers. gigabyte MB. it stutters and continues with animation. Very frustrating that this stuff isn't working on my latest hardware. =(
Thank you. Also deskscapes doesn't run. It says it doesn't run on non 64bit platforms but my computer info says windows 10 64bit arm version. It also has 8 gigs of ram and a specialized graphics processor which some games do not recognize if they are openGL only directX works.
I have the new samsung book S which is a windows 10 device using snapdragon. Everything works with all my programs except objectdock stuff. Windowblinds installs but will not change theme. I get error that windowblinds doesn't look to be properly installed and it doesn't switch the skin. Even choosing to try to fix it. CursorFX doesn't work right. I keep finding myself back at the base cursor also the click point moves around. Fences would not run said it wasn't installed prop
Its just some of them... of course its the coolest ones. Things like aphrodites necklace and others from "themasterbaron" This is a common problem. it spans all os's I have the codec installed its griping about.. these dreams have worked before in deskscapes 3. they do not work in deskscapes 8 either. I don't know why there isn't a solid answer for this yet.
yes can we please get an answer to this? I have the same issue on 2 machines. One is win8 ultrabook. I even bought the media pack from M$ from post I read from stardock troubleshoot link on the error and no go!!!! I pretty much gave up on that machine. So I get an alienware lappy with win7 pro. it has all the codecs. same problem! So I figure screw it. i'll risk virus and malware and get codec pack that will make it work. NO GO!!!! Wth stardock. I could play these
