Hi, One of the things I find annoying about WindowBlinds in Windows 8 is that the most (if not all) themes add a shadow and some transparent space around non-maximized windows. If you do an Alt-Print Screen to copy an image of the window, you get a little bit of what's behind the non-maximized window when you paste that image. What happens if I take out WindowBlinds and only use ShadowFX? Will I get transparent space and the shadow in a copy/past

You must be running a beta version of Thunderbird. The current released version (31.3.0) skins just fine.

I have a question that may or may not be related to this issue. I keep seeing references to the Windows Aero skin. I have never seen this skin. Is Windows Areo available only on certain OS's or certain versions of WindowBlinds?

Sorry, the original image? Is there a way to extract the original theme from the downloaded file. Let's say I download the new version 8.05. Is there a way to get the original theme out of the download? What if I delete the "Diamond" theme on my computer and install 8.05. Would that put the pristine version of Diamond back on? Thanks Jeff

Uvah, I am not sure that the original is without changes. Most (perhaps all, but I can't verify that) of the changes have been made in the copy. But, there might be a few changes in the original BEFORE making the copy and working with that copy.

7 pixels seems to be the default setting. I don't know how to change that. Where is the "Maximum frame graphic height"? Where is the "Caption Frame Height"? Remember, I am talking about a Maximized Window Title Bar. I can't find any of these settings on the Maximized Caption section of the "Edit per pixel frames" area. Also, other themes do not have any transparent gap above the maximized title bar.

Is there any way to restore Diamond to its default settings after making changes? I have been working on a copy of the Diamond theme; but, I am wondering if I might have made a few changes before making the copy that I am working from.

Okay, something is still not right because I applied the theme again; and, the gap came back. Can anyone help? I think it may have something to do with font size because some of the fonts in the Diamond theme are way too big. And until I figure out how the fonts work in the themes, I have been changing the font size in the Window's "Screen Resolution" screen with the "Make text and other items larger or smaller" font controls. When changing the "Title Bars" setting

Sorry, I must of had something funny happen when applying this theme. I thought I had taken the gap out by editing out the transparent portion at the top of the image used for the maximized title bar. For some reason the theme didn't apply correctly (not only was the gap still there even though I took it out of the image; but, I had some fonts that were so small they were unreadable). When I restarted the computer, the theme was applied properly; and, the gap that I had

Hi I have been playing around with the Diamond theme that comes with WindowBlinds version 8. With this theme, there is a 7 pixel gap above the top of a maximized window that you can see things behind the maximized window. I can't figure out why it is there. Can anyone help me in understanding this? Thank you, Jeff

Hi Maybe I am just missing it; but, I can't find a guide/manual for SkinStudio version 8. Is there such a thing? I find the program is very complicated and not very self-explanatory. And, I can't believe such a complex program wouldn't have a detailed manual. Any help? Thanks Jeff

Is this the type of corruption you are seeing? Look at the notification area. Eventually, if I don't kill WindowBlinds, the taskbar and individual windows become corrupt as well. If I can exit WindowBlinds, the screen corruption goes away. Then, restarting Windows Blinds is fine.
