I find it both amusing and puzzling that companies in competitive industries have fans that behave as if the company, which is unaware of their existence, is somehow an extension of their personality and that any attack on the company is an attack on them. Hundreds of years of economic theory tell us that competition results in lower prices. Any attempt to try and contradict this based on a single anecdote is just ludicrous. It's also worth pointing out that the biggest direct competition to Elemental isn't CivV, it's a Fall From Heaven mod for CivV. I'm not sure if the crew that did the one for CivIV is planning on tackling CivV, but even if they are it would be months before they had something that was playable. With Elemental coming out earlier, you'd have a head start on them in terms of player base. Chris Hill

As a new player who bought the game last week when it was on sale with SupCom, I find this kind of frustrating. I *love* the game so far, but was in a long singleplayer match last night that had become mostly a stalemate (due mostly to me not really knowing how to play and figuring it out as I went along). As someone who just bought the game this past weekend and has only played single-player so far, I can say that part of the reason I haven't done MP yet is that I want to learn how to play the game properly before joining a team of people I don't know that probably take the game far more seriously than I do.
