Well ... after a day and a computer reset or two everything seems to have worked itself out. I don't understand it, but all of the updates work now.

I opened Impulse and noticed that there was an update available for Elemental so I tried to let it update, but it said that I needed to first update Impulse so I tried that ... unfortunately it failed and just told me that there was a problem when attempting to update Impulse. I restarted Impulse and it didn't say anything about updating Impulse anymore so I again tried to update Elemental. It began to update just fine, but failed eventually and told me that the file was larger than expected.
