I saw that...but in the ObjectDesktop purchase window, it shows WindowFX 3. I guess a better question is: "Is WindowFX 4 included in ObjectDesktop?" Thanks for the quick response, though.

Thanks. Any way to speed it up? The Windows 7 Taskbar has a default delay of 400ms, which you can speed up via a registry tweak. That tweak doesn't seem to affect ObjectDock, though.
Okay, I'm stupid. I just figured out ObjectDock2 has this functionality. When I tested it before, I was using Firefox...which doesn't currently support this even on the Windows 7 Taskbar. (Neither does Chrome, btw). Time to try Life Without the Taskbar. Btw, is there any way to speed up the preview? It has a slight pause even on the Taskbar...I'd love for it to be instantaneous.
Give me Windows 7-style previews (popup tiles) on ObjectDock, and I could get rid of the Windows 7 Taskbar.
Just curious...how is Tiles different than ObjectDock in terms of functionality? I'm also struggling to see the difference in function between Tiles and the Windows 7 Taskbar. The only thing I can't use the Windows 7 Taskbar for right now is I can't put a folder on them. The only thing I can't do with ObjectDock is get the Windows 7 preview tiles (the icon-sized preview just doesn't quite do it for me). I'd love to see the WindowsFX version of
I've done that, but no previews. Reboot required, perhaps? I'll try it later. Thanks for the help!
I've tried both. On the zoomer dock, what option do you select to enable previews?
What settings are you using? I can get the preview window to show up as an icon, so to speak, but not a spread of preview windows like the Win7 taskbar.
Is there any way to get the Windows 7 Taskbar Preview feature in ObjectDock 2? That is, hover over an icon, and have a preview window appear for each window associated with the application. It is only this feature that has me using the Windows Taskbar at all. When I was still on WinXP I had it disabled entirely, but now that I'm on Win7 I have both it and ObjectDock up. The latter, unfortunately, has just become a program launcher for me. Thoughts?
After a nudge from Stardock Tech Support, I setup symbolic links and this works fine. Basically, the Windowblinds folders are stored on O:\ \ . I make the source, and point it to C:\Users\Default\Default Documents\Stardock\Windowblinds. Works like a charm. There's a nice tool online to allow you to create symbolic links, etc. from a right-click menu--including bulk operations--which is quite helpful.</p
Has anyone done this?
Steps to reproduce: 1. Insert a disc into your CD/DVD-ROM 2. Create a shortcut by dragging the drive letter from Explorer onto ObjectDock 2 (tabbed dock) 3. Switch discs 4. The name on the drive shortcut on the dock remains the same
Windowblinds gets a nod a few pages later, too.
Congrats for the good press Fences team.
I think Elemental is a great game, but side with those who wish the battles had more units--and units with more troops--than the small, skirmish-style that the tactical game became. I understand the reasons behind it, but my play style just prefers larger battles. So rather than sit around griping about a publisher kind enough to offer a no-questions-asked refund, I'd be interested in putting together a modding guide on how to make the game "bigger" without breaking any of the f
I have a smallish SSD drive, and two large media drives. The SSD drive contains most of my applications, including WindowBlinds, ObjectDock 2, IconPackager, etc. I'd like to change the default directories they use to store files. Does anyone know how to do this? Alternately, would it be simpler to use symbolic links between the real directory and the "media" directory? Running Win7 64-bit; thanks in advance for any help.
Running ObjectDock Plus 2.0, if you launch an Explorer window from within a SharePoint 2007 site, the window opens normally but a blank icon populates in the dock. There is a space for the icon, but no actual icon.
Sir_Linque : It's only irrational if we assume the corporation has an intelligence of its own. It doesn't, however, being made up of people like you and me. Shareholders can demand more all they want, but they generally won't shout too loudly if something is consistently generating good profits and faces no dangers. Profits are a pull; competitors are a push. Perhaps the best lesson is just history itself: Ma' Bell, before it was broken up, was a static, unchanging,
Good points. $800 million in revenue from North America alone for $50 million a year is definitely a cash cow, if your cost is correct. I'd love to have a 1550% gross margin. :)
What I mean is that because they have consistent profits, and no competition, there is little incentive to improve to generate greater profits. Thus, if I'm making a 20% margin and $100B/year (or whatever), and my shareholders are happy (if I'm a monopoly, I'm likely "outperforming" the sector), then there's little incentive to change. This unwillingness to change can, in the long-term, result in failure. People think--and, especially, are incented by--the short-ter

If we had a data file of quotations, with the ability to tag quotations, and could have units auto-tagged on the backend based on their stats or somewhat, the engine could then suggest good quotations. I think quotations from the classics is a good idea; no muddy copywright issues that way.
+1 vote for Talents. Yes, I voted twice.
