I had the same problem until I selected the Windows Aero blind (the default Vista theme). After switching to it once, whatever was hung up released and I've been able to switch to any other blind I want. Sounds weird, but it worked.

Thanks, Jason. After updating the driver I now have a 4.3: (processor is the low score) Your computer has a Windows Experience Index base score of 4.3 Your Windows Graphics Experience score is 5.9 WindowBlinds version : WindowBlinds 5 (5.50 (build 102 x86 - Vista Edition)) WindowBlinds is installed correctly on this PC WindowBlinds appears to be activated on this PC (Generic PnP Monitor) 1 is attached to NVIDIA GeForce 7900 GS Wblind.dll
I have a Sony Vaio with 3.2GHz CPU, 1.5GB memory, NVIDIA GeForce 7900 GS w/ 256MB. Why IS my rating so low? Everything shows up in Device Manager as running OK (no problems displayed).
Well, I was playing around in WB and selected "Windows Aero" blind (which looks like it is the default Vista skin) and clicked apply my changes. WB blew up. Vista Explorer blew up. When it finally replaced itself, I opened WB again and tried selecting other blinds and they all appear correctly now. Still no WB option in the start menu, but I can live with that, since I have it in the quick launch. Love the new Stargate One blind... <a href="https://www.stardock.com/products/sdcentr
When I started Stardock Central this morning, I said no to upgrading WB, then selected it in the list and told it to upgrade, to see if it acted any different than upgrading from the startup prompt. It did. It actually completed the upgrade this time. After the re-boot, WB starts correctly when I click on the quick start icon. It still does not show up on the start menu. In WB I can select any of the options, but when I click on "apply my changes" for a new blind - nothing happens except a
32bit Vista Ultimate. Also, I forgot to mention that I no longer have a WB option on the Start Menu under Object Desktop. The only options there are Deskscapes and Logon Studio Vista.
