Anomalies

About half the time the initial survey ship will go to an anomaly and just sit there and not detect the anomaly. If I send the ship elsewhere, then back to the anomaly, it will report it. No particular type of anomaly or distance involved. I will try to send the debug file and save game to CariElf.

Hmmm...might be related to the bug that Lucky Jack reported where ships on autopilot sometimes overshoot their target.
