Where to go?

In Windows Explorer how can you change the background color in the right pane? I opened the skin in SkinStudio but I can't find where this value is located. Does anybody know?

Thx in advance...

Under Classic colors, it is Windows-/background window.

Classic colors can also be found in the left tree under Miscellaneous/colors

Hey night train.
No, unfortunately that's not it, I already checked

The skin in question is Dark Aqua XP --> https://www.wincustomize.com/ViewSkin.aspx?SID=1&SkinID=2176&LibID=1

If you install it and open windows explorer, you'll see the grey part in the right pane. It's driving me nuts!

Edit: typo...

There is a link to a screenshot of that same skin after I changed the setting I previously mentioned to white. Everything you see that is white, was black. I only made the one setting change.

I see...

I'm at work right now (so I can't check), but could it be a setting in the WB config that's causing this? I'll take a screenshot of it tonight as soon as I get home from work.

Btw, thx for the help Night Train

Here's what i'm talking about. Check the area where the cursor is (it's in detailed mode).
Where can you change this grey color in Skin Studio?

I am pretty sure that is a hard coded mask on top of the background color. Normally it is a black mask at abot 3 % transparency. The skin in question has black for the background yet the mask is lighter. Gonna explore this some more. Will report any findings. I have a test skin just for these purposes but it is failing.

It's weird, the grey only appears when in detail mode. Like you said, it's probably a mask but I couldn't find anything related to it in SkinStudio.

Thx again for the help, Night Train

Sorry this didn't work for you Jachyra, but thanks for posting the question. I had a skin I was using that also had a background that was to dark and NightTrains info did the trick!

Actually...this thread got me exploring other settings in skins and now I've gotten a better feel for making changes to customize some skins to my liking.

I'll try playing around with the skin your having problems with and see if I can come up with anything.
