Currently, Start11 (v2) really does not behave well when the option Optimize taskbar for touch interactions.... is enabled. With this mode, the standard windows 11 taskbar increases in size and minimizes to a handlebar similarly on iOS and Android with gesture navigation. The standard behavior is very seamless in a 2-in-1 device I'm using (Surface Pro). 

This is probably really a tough nut to crack as is basically means that there are two taskbars to optimize. 

I would suggest 3 levels of improvements, with increasing difficulty, to Start11 that will make it work better on tablet mode devices. 

1. Suggestion to turn off Optimize taskbar for touch interactions... Similarly to the suggestion to turn of auto-hide, when Start 11 auto-hide is enabled. 
2. Add options to specific behavior in tablet mode. Examples are turning off auto-hide when in tablet mode, Start11 version of optimized tablet mode taskbar (minimize to handlebar), and tablet mode specific style settings.  
3. Integrate Windows native tablet mode taskbar, such that any modifications are made on top of the existing implementation.
