The problem is that NONE of the traditional methods work anymore. Editing the registry, turning off the settings, and setting the group policy all have NO effect. The registry edit to extend the time before the thumbnail shows works for a while, but after some time it stops working. You can make it work again if you restart explorer, but again after some time it stops working. What we need is a permanent way to banish these annoying popups forever.
Now granted, this is not your problem, but it would be so awesome if you could figure out how to implement this feature in your software, because there are no other working solutions.
