Tabs don't auto expand to the window width, instead they have a visible limit, creating more just shrinks them, it's been happening for quite some time now

Hello,Sorry to hear you are having issues. Need to know if you're using Standard Windows explorer or there is a 3rd party application running in your system that change how your Explorer work? Your explorer look different than my Windows 10 explorer. Maybe it just due to display language thing. Here what I get on my system.

Yes I'm using original explorer. This mainly happens with narrow windows, if I expand it looks the same as your screenshot.
Since I have an ultrawide monitor I usually divide the screen in a 16:9 section and the remaining part I use for folders and other programs. This didn't happen before as tab always expanded up to the X
