Unfortunately I cannot perform what you have requested, it is a professional laptop and I there are policies that forbid me to do what you request. I imagine that my only possibility now is to roll back to V4, I had no issue on that version.
The jist of a clean boot is to see if another start up program is interfering with Fences 5. Perhaps, under taskmanager > startup you could see if there are any programs you could disable at startup temporarily?
Another thing I might want to try out if I were in your position is unplugging one monitor and trying a reboot that why. Just as a way to see if multi monitor is your issue or if it is Fences 5 itself on your system.
It is strange that Fences 4 works but Fences 5 doesn't. I suppose worst case scenario you roll back for a while and then trial a new version of Fences to see if the kinks are out yet
