Objectdock Freezing in Windows 11

I have this issue where ObjectDock regularly freezes for 10-15 seconds when I try to access items on either the top or bottom Dock...

Very Annoying! makes it almost unusable as it's faster just to use the plain old Windows menu or icons...

Has anyone else had this problem or know of any fixes???

On Windows 11 Pro Build: 23H2 
Processor    AMD Ryzen 9 3950X 16-Core Processor               3.50 GHz
Installed RAM    64.0 GB

No issues with any other software freezing. And I don't remember having this issue with the Demo, but of course once I made a purchase it goes south...

Hello,
Sorry to hear you are having issues. If I remember correctly, no regular freezing report so far on ObjectDock. Need more information on your system.

  1. Windows v 23H2 full OS Build number. Use Winver.exe
  2. ObjectDock version installed.
  3. Do you have links to external/network items on your docks?
  4. If possible post video capture on this issue so we understand it better. You can upload the video to a video sharing site and post it link here.

I have exactly the same problem @Channeler1

ObjectDock 3.01 freezes for about ten seconds.

When I get tired of waiting, I kill the ObjectDock process and restart it  

 

Sometimes the hourglass cursor spins for a few seconds without any apparent reason.

Sometimes the icon title no longer appear. Sometimes I can't switch tabs (for Tabbed Dock)

With ObjectDock v2.x, I didn’t have any problems for 17 years across all versions of Windows XP / 7 / 10 / 11.

I’m a bit disappointed with this new version.

 

I don't have any links to a network drive, only C:\Program.

Hello,
Sorry to hear you are having issues. It might be ObjectDock v3 don't get installed properly on your system. Have you tried purge and reinstall as mentioned here: https://support.stardock.com/space/SHC/1349320768/ObjectDock+purging+and+re-installing? Try it and report back.
